Compress images individually

Overweight images slow down your site and can have a negative impact on SEO results. Fizz+Ginger makes it easy to compress images on HubSpot CMS blog posts and pages. You can compress images individually - see below - or in bulk.

The app synchronises changes immediately when you click Save but it scans pages and posts automatically on a schedule - usually every hour or so. The time of the most recent scan is shown at the top of the page.

  1. Select Posts or Pages on the Images menu
  2. You can use the filter menus By state and By size to filter and prioritise your work or use the search function to find a specific item. We recommend working on the largest images on published pages first.
  3. Click on Compress
  4. Select the desired size and image quality and click Compress to do the actual compression.
  5. You can try different settings and when you have the right level of compression, click Apply to save the image back into HubSpot CMS. (Fizz+Ginger makes an archive copy of the original file in the file manager.)
