Compress images in bulk

Overweight images slow down your site and can have a negative impact on SEO results. Fizz+Ginger makes it easy to compress images on HubSpot CMS blog posts and pages. You can compress images in bulk - see below - or individually.

The app synchronises changes immediately when you click Save but it scans pages and posts automatically on a schedule - usually every hour or so. The time of the most recent scan is shown at the top of the page.

  1. Select For post images or For page images or For all images on the Images menu.
  2. It can take a few moments to load up the images - wait for the progress bar
  3. Tick the images you want to compress.
    1. We recommend compressing images that are over 1mb as a priority and anything over 400kb.
    2. Be wary of trying to compress things like animated GIF files or SVG files.
    3. Don't just tick 'Select all' unless you are sure that's what you really want. With great power comes great responsibility.
    4. Also, don't run with scissors.
  4. Choose the size and compression level then click Compress.
